Business, Contact And Location
Your business details, contact details, opening hours, address, branches and the areas you cover.
These are the facts about your business: who you are, how people reach you, when you're open and where you work. They're the details customers and Google rely on most, so it's worth getting them exactly right.
Business
Open Knowledgebase → Business.
Core Business Info
Business Name, Business Type, Industry and Year Founded. Use your name exactly as it appears on your Google Business Profile, so Google can tell they're the same business. As the screen says, these fields power every suggestion Cleo makes, so fill these first.
There's also a switch, Is This A Professional Service?. Turn it on if your business offers professional services.
Underneath, Advanced — Legal & Schema Details holds the formal details some businesses need, such as Registered Legal Name, Company Number and VAT Number. You can leave these empty if they don't apply to you.
Business Description
A few sentences about what you do and for whom, in plain words. Cleo uses this a lot, so write it the way you'd describe the business to a new customer.
Business Photo
A photo that represents the business, such as your shopfront, your team or your work. Press Choose Or Upload A Photo.
Contact Details
Phone, Email, Email (Inquiries), Website, WhatsApp Number, SMS Number and Telegram Username. Fill in the ones you use and leave the rest empty.
These are used right across your site. Presstack widgets that show a phone number or email, and the contact details Google reads, all come from here. Change your number once here and it changes everywhere.
Contact Points
If different people handle different things, press Add Contact Point for each, and choose what it's for: Sales And Quotes, Technical Support, Customer Service, Billing, Emergency or Reservations.
Opening Hours
Set the times for each day, or tick Closed for days you're shut. If you're always available, as many online businesses are, tick Open 24/7 (online / always available). These hours feed your Google listing and the contact and footer areas of your site.
Location
Open Knowledgebase → Location.
One Address
Most businesses have one. Fill in Street Address, City/Town, Postcode and Country (the names of some fields change to match your country).
The easiest way to get it exactly right is to let Google fill it in:
- Step 1 · Your Google Place ID: paste your Google Business Profile share link into Google Place ID Or Share Link and press Auto-Fill Address From This. If you're not sure where to find it, use the Find Your Place ID link.
- Step 2 · Confirm The Map Pin: press Get Coordinates From Address so your map pin lands in the right place.
If you work entirely online, tick Online-Only Business (No Physical Location) instead.
More Than One Branch
Tick This Business Has Multiple Locations, then press Switch To Multi-Location. Each branch gets its own name, address, phone, email, opening hours and page link. Mark your main one as Primary. Add more with Add Location.
Service Areas
The towns, cities or regions you cover. Press Add Area for each. This matters for local businesses: it's how Cleo knows which places to mention, and how search engines learn where you work.
