Services, Products And Your Voice
What you offer, what makes you different, and how Cleo should sound when she writes for you.
The facts tell Cleo who you are. This part tells her what you sell and how you talk about it, which is what makes her writing sound like yours.
Services
Open Knowledgebase → Services.
Your Services
Press Add Service for each thing you offer. Give it a name, a short description, and the page on your site that covers it, if there is one. Linking the page matters: when Cleo writes an article that mentions a service, she can link to the right page.
Each service also has a Link Priority, from Highest to Rarely. Set your most important services higher and Cleo links to them more often.
Unique Selling Points
What makes you the better choice: twenty years' experience, a same-day service, a guarantee, family-run. Press Add USP for each. Keep them true and specific; Cleo uses them to explain why someone should pick you.
Accreditations & Credentials
Memberships, registrations and qualifications, such as a trade body or a professional register. Press Add Accreditation for each. These build trust with readers and with search engines.
Product Knowledge
Open the Product Knowledge card on the Knowledgebase home screen. This is one large box where you describe what you offer in as much detail as you like: what's included, how it works, what it costs, what people often ask.
Rather than typing it all, you can press Build From My Site to have it drafted from your website, or Import From File. Either way, the text appears in the box for you to check, and nothing is kept until you press Save Changes.
Brand & Voice
Open Knowledgebase → Brand & Voice.
Brand Voice
Choose the Tone closest to how you really talk to customers: Professional, Friendly, Casual, Expert, Luxury or Playful. Pick how you actually sound, not how you'd like to sound; readers can tell. Add your Brand Values underneath.
Voice In Three Words
Three words for how you come across, such as warm, plain-spoken and expert. It's a quick shorthand Cleo keeps in mind every time she writes.
What Makes You Different
One or two sentences on what sets you apart from everyone else who does what you do. Cleo weaves it into what she writes naturally, rather than listing it.
Who You Write For
Describe your typical customer: who they are, what they need, what worries them. Cleo writes to this person.
Competitors
Who else your customers might be comparing you with. It helps Cleo understand your market and what to set you apart from.
Additional Notes
Anything else Cleo should know about how to write for you. Words you never use, things you always mention, how you refer to your customers.
Store & Products
On Theme sites with a shop, Knowledgebase → Store & Products holds your shop's standing details: your Returns Policy, Shipping & Delivery, and default notes on warranty, care and materials. Add the brands you sell with Add Brand, and other places people can buy from you with Add Stockist. Cleo uses these when she writes product descriptions, so customers get consistent answers.
