What The Knowledgebase Is

The one place Cleo learns your business from, why it matters, and how it is laid out.

Updated

Imagine hiring someone to write for your business. Before they write a word, you'd sit them down and tell them what you do, where you work, who your customers are, what makes you different and how you like to come across. The Knowledgebase is that conversation, written down once, so Cleo has it every time she works.

Everything Cleo writes for you draws on it: articles, new pages, search titles and descriptions, product descriptions, and her answers when you chat with her. The more she knows, the more her work sounds like it came from inside your business rather than from a stranger.

Tip: You only fill it in once. After that, keep it up to date when something changes, such as a new service, a new area or a new phone number, and everything Cleo writes from then on picks it up.

Where To Find It

Open Knowledgebase in the Presstack menu on the left. The first screen gives you a card for each part, each with a short note on what goes in it and a badge showing how far you've got:

BadgeWhat it means
Add InfoNothing filled in yet.
PartialSome of it is filled in.
CompleteThe main details for that part are all there.

At the top, a line tells you how many parts are complete, so you can see at a glance what's left.

The Parts

The cards, and the menu underneath Knowledgebase, follow the same order:

  • Business: your name, what kind of business you are, how to contact you and your opening hours.
  • Services: what you offer, what makes you stand out, and any accreditations.
  • Product Knowledge: a fuller description of what you sell, in your own words.
  • Location: your address, extra branches if you have them, and the areas you cover.
  • Store & Products: shop policies and the brands you carry (only on Theme sites with a shop).
  • Brand & Voice: how you sound and who you're talking to.
  • Social & Reviews: your social profiles, review sites and customer testimonials.
  • Latest Reviews: your newest reviews, to read (nothing to fill in here).
  • Team: the people behind the business.
  • AI Knowledge: extra background and things Cleo should remember.

Each one has its own doc in this section.

The Quickest Way To Start

You don't have to type it all in. Press Let Cleo Fill It In at the top of any Knowledgebase screen and Cleo reads your own website and drafts what she can for you to check. Let Cleo Fill It In explains exactly what she does and doesn't touch.

Saving

Each screen has a bar at the bottom. When you change something it says You Have Unsaved Changes — Click Save. Press Save Changes to keep your edits, or Discard to go back to how it was.

When you save, only the fields you changed are updated; everything else stays as it was. And if a save would ever leave you with fewer details than before, Presstack keeps a copy first. If that copy has more filled in, you'll see An Earlier Copy Has More Filled In., with Restore Backup and Keep Mine buttons, so a slip of the mouse can't wipe your work.
