Building A New Page

Describe a page and Cleo writes and builds it for you, as a draft, in the way your site is built.

Updated

A new page used to mean a blank screen and an afternoon of writing. With New Page, you say what the page is for and Cleo writes it and builds it, ready for you to check and publish.

New Page comes with Presstack Core and the Presstack Theme. Writer & SEO doesn't include it.

Open Pages → New Page.

On Presstack Core

1. Tell Cleo What The Page Is For

  • What Is The Page For?: a sentence or two is plenty, such as "our emergency boiler repair service in Leeds".
  • Page Title (optional): leave it empty and Cleo writes one.
  • Page Type: such as About, Services, Single Service, Contact, FAQ, Location, Pricing, Team or Landing.
  • Focus Keyword (optional): the search you'd most like the page found for.

2. Where It's Built

Cleo builds the page the same way your other pages are built, and the screen tells you which before you start:

  • Elementor: built with real Elementor widgets, ready to edit.
  • The WordPress editor: built with blocks.
  • Any other page builder: Cleo writes all the copy and saves it as a Content Kit, ready for you to drop into your builder.

If more than one is possible, Build It In lets you choose.

3. Pictures

Tick Make Images Too to have a picture made for every section that calls for one, such as the opening, your services or the about section. Nothing is made yet: once the page is built you see exactly how many pictures and what they'll cost, and choose then. The first picture also becomes the page's featured image.

4. Build It

Press Build Page and confirm the cost. A new page is 4 credits; pictures are 2 credits each (3 for premium), charged one at a time as they're made, and a picture that fails isn't charged.

The page is always saved as a new draft, so nothing goes live until you publish it. Open it with Open In Elementor or Open In Editor, read it through, adjust anything you like, and publish.

On The Presstack Theme

The Theme gives you three ways to start:

  • Storyboard: describe the page, shape Cleo's plan section by section, then watch her build it in Elementor. The richest way to make a page.
  • Start From A Template: pick a layout. Use Layout gives you the layout to fill yourself, free. Fill With Cleo has her write real copy into every section of it (you see the cost first).
  • Or Start Blank: Blank Page opens a fresh page in Elementor with your header and footer; Canvas Page has no header or footer, for landing pages.

These Theme options build Elementor pages, so Elementor needs to be installed. Your Dashboard's Getting Started list has a button for it.

Tip: Need lots of similar pages, one for every service or every town? Make one you like, then use Blueprints to make the rest from it.
