Storyboard

Describe a page, shape Cleo's plan section by section, then watch her build it in Elementor.

Updated

Storyboard is the most hands-on way to make a new page with Cleo. Instead of one click and a finished page, you see her plan first, section by section, change anything you like, and then watch her build it in front of you.

Storyboard is part of the Presstack Theme, and works where Elementor is installed. It's at the top of Pages → New Page.

1. Describe Your Page

Under Describe Your Page, say what the page is for, in your own words. Then choose a Layout:

  • Let Cleo Choose: she picks the sections that suit the page.
  • A Fresh Layout: a new design from scratch.
  • Like One Of Your Pages: the same layout and styling as a page you already have, with new words.
  • From A Template: start from one of your templates.

Press Plan My Page. Planning is free: nothing is made until you press Build.

2. Shape The Plan

Cleo lays the page out as a storyboard: a list of sections, each with its heading and what it will say. You can:

  • edit any heading or description;
  • move sections up and down, remove them, or press Add Section;
  • press Show Details to change the page's title, web address, search title and description, or the widget a section uses.

Changes save as you go. If you don't like the direction, press Start Again.

3. Build It

Tick Make Images Too if you'd like pictures, and the board shows roughly how many. Press Build This Page and you'll see the cost, itemised: the page, plus about how many images at what each. The page is 4 credits; images are 2 each (3 for premium), charged one at a time as they're made, so the image total can come out a little lower than the estimate.

Elementor opens with a new, empty page, and a panel appears: Cleo Is Building Your Page. She writes and places one section at a time while you watch. You can Pause, Carry On or Stop at any time, and Redo a section with a note on what to change, such as "shorter" or "more about call-outs". Redoing a section costs nothing extra.

When she's done you'll see how many sections were built. Check the page, then press Publish or Save Draft in Elementor. Nothing is published until you do.

Built To Be Safe

Storyboard only ever builds into the new, empty page it just made. If a page already has anything on it, it refuses and changes nothing, so it can never write over a page you already have.
