Your Blog In One Place

The Blog screen, what's on it, and the different ways to get posts written.

Updated

A blog is one of the best ways to be found. Every good post is another way in from Google, another answer to a question your customers are asking, and another reason to trust you. The trouble is finding the time to write them. That's the job Cleo takes on.

Open Blog in the Presstack menu. The first screen shows four numbers at a glance: Published, This Month, Scheduled and Working Drafts. The Write A Post button takes you straight to writing.

Three Ways To Get Posts Written

Pick whichever suits how involved you want to be.

  1. One post at a time. You give Cleo a topic, she shows you a plan, and you decide whether she writes it. Best when you have something specific to say. See Writing A Post.
  2. A month at a time. Cleo researches topics and fills your Blog Calendar with a month of posts for you to look over. Best for keeping a steady flow. See The Blog Calendar.
  3. Hands off. Turn on the Auto Writer and Cleo writes planned posts as their dates come round, within a monthly budget you set. See The Auto Writer And Your Budget.

Whichever you choose, new posts are saved as drafts for you to read first, unless you choose otherwise.

What's In The Blog Menu

  • Posts: every post on your site, with quick actions such as refreshing a post or making a new featured image.
  • New Post: write one post with Cleo.
  • Blog Calendar: every planned post on one calendar.
  • Content Refresh: finds posts that are losing visitors so you can bring them back.
  • Proof Bank: real results and examples Cleo can weave into posts.
  • Blog Settings: the defaults every post follows: voice, length, images, categories and links.
  • Categories: add, rename or remove categories.

Turn on Advanced mode and you'll also see Duplicates, Plans, News, Clusters, Suggestions, Tags and Shortcodes & Ads.

What It Costs

Planning is free, and so is asking Cleo for ideas. Credits are used when Cleo writes: a post costs 4 credits, and a featured image 2 (or 3 for a premium image). You always see the cost before anything is written.
